Laser Shield, an exploding manufacturing company seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to work out of it's headquarters in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Senior hardware development engineer must have a BS Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. A minimum of 10 years experience in electronic digital and analog designs is required for the Senior hardware development engineer. MSEE is a plus. Salary is negotiable and based on experience.

Qualifications for the Senior Hardware Development Engineer

Requires BS Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. MSEE is a plus
Minimum of 10 years experience in electronic digital and analog designs
Knowledge of microprocessor technology and hardware applications
Understand real-time systems and embedded system architectures
Proficient using CAD tools to generate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layout such as OrCad schematic design tools and off-the-shelf PCB layout tools.
Familiar with basic hardware test and measurement instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, telephone line simulators, etc.
Knowledge of wired and wireless communication technologies and telephone system interface
Experience with development of home and office security systems and Digital camera system design is a plus

Responsibilities for the Senior Hardware Development Engineer

Design and implementation of new hardware development
Cost reduction and sustaining engineering of existing products
Provide technical and engineering support to manufacturing, testing, etc.
Participate in design reviews, analyze concepts and cost effectiveness of hardware designs
Interfaces with customers and hardware component vendors
Interfaces with contract houses for outsourced engineering work
