Senior GIS Specialist

BPC Group Inc. is a civil engineering firm headquartered in beautiful Orlando, Florida with branch offices in Greenacres (West Palm Beach), Florida and Pompano Beach, Florida. Utility companies, and local and state governments are our major clients. We specialize in simulation modeling and civil design projects, including environmental, geotechnical, roadways, stormwater, water resources, and water supply. Due to rapid growth of our business, we need a full time professional dedicated to manage our GIS and remote sensing needs.

Position: Senior GIS Specialist, Immediate, for Orlando, Florida Office.
Duties and Responsibilities: Design, develop and execute GIS projects; Analyze and interpret spatial data to produce maps, reports and other products; Map geographic feature, phenomena, and event via survey and Photogrammetric methods; Design, develop and maintain spatial database, including GIS data compilation and construction, spatial data conversion and processing, data cleanup and validation, data QA/QC; Design, construction, and load ESRI Geodatabase; Design and program object-oriented software, and perform unit and integration testing.

Education:Minimum BS Degree in geography/geology/science/engineering or other relevant disciplines. (Advanced degree is a definite plus)
Experience:4+ years of direct, recent and progressive experience in combination of all items described in “Duties and Responsibilities”. Any professional experience in remote sensing, ArcHydro, ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst, and/or AutoCAD/Microstation is a definite plus.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills:
1.Experience in GIS Analysis and Reporting (planning, manipulating, querying, and analyzing geospatial and tabular data to produce reports in tabular and map graphic formats).
2.Advanced knowledge and experience in the application of spatial analysis and quantitative methods in geography.
3.Highly skilled in GIS analysis and cartographic design using ESRI software.
4.Adequate knowledge in the use of Oracle databases and ArcSDE, including SQL script writing and report generation.
5.Experience in GIS Data Development (planning, designing, creating, loading, manipulating, and validating geospatial and tabular data into multi-user databases in preparation for use by staff through client software and applications).
6.Experience in ESRI ArcGIS product suite and ESRI Geodatabase Modeling (Visio) and UML.
7.Ability and experience in implementing methodologies for creation and use of spatial data, including digitizing, editing, coding and annotating line, point, polygon, TIN, raster, topology, network, and terrain features.
8.Experience in GIS Application Development (planning, designing, coding, testing, and deploying client and server applications and utilities to automate steps for developing, verifying, managing, manipulating, querying, analyzing, reporting, and generating map graphics from geospatial and tabular data).
9.Ability and/or experience in Microsoft development technologies including C++.NET, ASP.NET and Java development technologies.
10. Knowledge and/or experience in ArcHydro and/or ArcGeostatistical Analyst tools.
