Senior Flight Control Systems EngineerThe Port City Group, Inc. 6309 Boathouse Road Suite 100 Wilmington, NC 28403For further information contact: Francis James Acanfora 1-866-255-3600 x101 [Click here for email]This high visibility Senior Systems Engineering position requires strongknowledge of aircraft flight control systems along with excellent writtenand oral communication skills. Tasks include system architecting,requirements capture, functional testing, integration testing, flight testsupport, and delivery support. Responsibilities include technical coordination with the customer, hardware developers, software developers, system integrators, partner suppliers, safety and certification engineering, and program/engineering/product management. The successful candidate will posses a strong background in flight control systems along with solid record of technical leadership success, and must be results oriented and committed to project execution. The successful candidate will: * Define flight control system and product requirements based oncustomer need * Perform system design and define solution architectures * Lead engineering teams and be accountable for technical performanceand success * Define product development plans, test plans, integration plans, andcertification plans. * Provide project status reporting and presentations to internal andexternal customers * Interact directly with Senior Management for key projects * Perform system test and integration activities * Perform a key leadership role in pursuit of business opportunities * Support flight test activities (domestic and international) * Coach and mentor less experienced engineering staff * Participate in definition and maintenance of technology roadmaps andplansSome travel will be required.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in applicable engineering or sciencefield or equivalent with demonstrated high academic and job performance anda minimum of 15 years of progressive and relevant technical experience inthe flight controls domain.All resume inquiries will remain confidential.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in applicable engineering or sciencefield or equivalent with demonstrated high academic and job performance anda minimum of 15 years of progressive and relevant technical experience inthe flight controls domain.All resume inquiries will remain confidential.Some travel will be required.
