Senior Fire and Plumbing Engineer

Purpose: The Contract Engineering Division at Aerotek is currently looking to hire a Senior Fire and Plumbing Engineer for one of our clients in the Burlington, MA area. The position is a contract-to-hire and the pay is based upon experience.

This exciting and challenging position requires an engineer who is highly motivated and knowledgeable with the state plumbing code and NFPA.

Job Purpose:
Complete construction projects by determining System requirements, designing Plumbing and Sprinkler systems, supervising construction and mentoring team members.

Duties:
Work closely with HVAC and Electrical departments to coordinate plans and specifications, answer technical and procedural questions for less-experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members, develop project budget and schedule.

Determine scope of projects by identifying construction or renovation requirements, studying requirements, developing concepts and presenting sketches.

Develop Construction Documents by designing layout and generating specifications for Plumbing and Sprinkler systems.

Supervise construction by supervising contractors, monitoring construction as compared to drawings and specifications; solving design/construction problems.

Update professional knowledge by maintaining licensure (if applicable), participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:
Mass. State Plumbing Code, ADA Requirements, NFPA Guidelines.
