SENIOR ENGINEERING ASSOCIATE
Tucson Water Department
Grade: 815 Salary: $46,571 - $78,250 Annually DOE
The Tucson Water Department is seeking a highly qualified individual to oversee the contract administration, construction documentation, and compliance with plans and specifications of Capital Improvement, Developer Financed and Agency Modification potable and reclaimed water projects.

Some examples of the essential tasks are:
Manages projects and contracts, and ensures accurate contract administration and compliance on CIP projects, including processing contract design change orders, payments, and Departmental work order requests.
Investigates and resolves design and construction problems and issues in accordance with technical standards and requirements.
Coordinates the reviews and updates to Tucson Water Standard Specifications and Details Manual.
Reviews prospective materials and new construction methods for inclusion into Tucson Water Standard Specification Manual.
Provides preliminary and construction survey support to the Survey Unit of the Construction Section on all CIP projects and miscellaneous Departmental survey requests.
Provides preliminary construction review of design drawings of CIP projects, including review of special specifications and construction bid documents.
Problem solves issues that arise on CIP, developer financed, and transportation modifications projects impacting existing water facilities.

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience thereof plus over two years experience in construction projects, including water distribution or other relevant engineering work experience. Must have a valid driver's license and an Engineer-in-Training Certificate
