Senior Engineer - Steam Turbine/Generator Accessories

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: * Total design responsibility for assigned steam turbine - generator accessory systems focusing on equipment specification and layout, foundation interface design and development of corresponding Customer Drawings and documentation.
Represent the Team in interactions with Customers, architect engineers, suppliers and internal functions; Sourcing, Drafting & Project Management.
Provide clear and concise technical inputs to Drafters to produce robust equipment outline drawings and specifications.
Mentor less experienced engineers on the Team.
Establish acceptance criteria of equipment performance CTQ's and drive corresponding design validation.
Identify and conduct supplier shop and customer job site visits required to resolve hardware issues and to enhance designs.
Identify and lead high impact Automation, DMP and Cost of Quality projects.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * BS Degree in Engineering.
Minimum of 8+ years design experience.
Familiarity with power plant design and structural building codes.Desired: * Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree, MS preferred.
Power plant accessory equipment design experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous projects with minimal direction.
Ability to build relationships and to integrate within a diverse, high energy Team.
