Full Job Title: Senior Engineer, Reliabilty/Maintainabilty/Testabilty Skills Management Title Rlblty/Maintnblty/TstbltyJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: Will provide support to the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program. The engineer will provide technical support in multiple areas of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Testability (RAM&T): reliability allocations, reliability and availability probability modeling, component/system MTBF calculations FMECA/FMEA, component/system failure analysis, reliability and availability assessment, and service life analysis/ assessment (including aging surveillance). The engineer will review/approve/coordinate/integrate sub-component/ supplier RAM&T efforts in all these areas. The engineer will provide support for flight test vehicles as well as deployable vehicles and for mission critical ground installations, performing all interface analysis, including failure effect on other GMD components, mission, and loss of life. The engineer may also provide support in the areas of requirements verification & compliance, system modeling and simulation tool validation, verification methodology trade studies, verification planning development and generation of systems engineering documents. Competencies REQUIRED: An interim clearance is required prior to start date with final clearance obtained post start. Knowledge of Integrated Product Definition and System Engineering practices (e.g., source selection, risk management, trade studies, affordability, corrective actions), including specific reliability, maintainability, and testability (RM&T) integrated product team (IPT) responsibilities. Knowledge of failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis, including system, sub-system, functional (electrical/mechanical), and component level. Apply knowledge of mission reliability, mission/system availability and maintainability to verify product performance in the mission environment. Knowledge of numerical probability and statistical analysis, including time dependent, random failures, and failure distributions (e.g., normal, log normal, Weibull, exponential). Skill in writing briefings, reports and procedures. Knowledge of basic engineering software. DESIRED: Experience with RELEX. Active Secret Clearance. Good communication skills.
