Senior Embedded Engineer

Our client is looking for a talented Sr. Software Engineer to join their New Product Development group in Eden Prairie, MN.

In this position, your roles and responsibilities will include:
-Designing and developing real-time, embedded software for electrohydraulic controls;
-Collaborating with a multi-discipline team to define the interface between hardware and software, and the operational performance requirements of the integrated system;
-Evaluating and defining requirements in cooperation with internal and external customers; and
-Using model-driven tools and object-oriented techniques to create high quality software.
REQUIREMENTS
BSEE, BS Computer Science or equivalent with five or more years of software development and/or software verification experience.
Excellent skills and knowledge of C and C++ Experience with MS Visual Studio
Good verbal and written communications skills and demonstrated teaming skills.
Familiar with software standards, methodologies, and version control tools.

While not strict requirements for the position, knowledge in the following areas will aid in a candidate’s consideration:
-CAN communication standards, CAN tools, and CAN based communications systems design
-Experience with 8/16/32 bit processors, ranging from Microchip PIC processors to Motorola HCS12 processors
-Experience with object-oriented and agile development methods
-Familiarity with model driven development and UML tools
-Familiarity with test driven development.
-Experience in control algorithm development and implementation.
-Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink.
-Experienced with embedded electrohydraulic control applications.
