Job Description:

The Los Angeles group is searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. In this position you will be responsible for:

Leading a project Electrical Discipline in the production of design drawings and calculations in support of Co generation and Central Plant Projects, and utility distribution projects.

Maintaining performance metrics for the project electrical discipline and reports to the Project Management.

Managing minor follow-on engineering projects.

Ability to guide cost estimates for electrical engineering projects using Means.

Documenting and delivering analysis results and support design reviews.

Developing and applying advanced engineering methods and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems.

Coaching and mentoring project electrical staff.

Assisting the office Electrical Lead and Engineering Manager in identifying training needs and coordinating training classes.

Job Requirements:

B.S. Electrical Engineering; Masters preferred.
PE license in the state of California (electrical) or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
10-15 years experience in engineering and design of industrial plants and utilities.
Minimum 4 years experience in personnel supervision.
Broad understanding and coordination across multi-disciplines (Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Instruments/Controls, Piping).
Basic AutoCAD.
Experience with protective relaying for equipment and distribution of 480V, 4.16kV, 12.5kV and higher distribution systems is desired.
Experience with City Plan Check requirements and Title 24 calculations.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
MS Office and MS Project experience.
Knowledgeable with ETAP and/or Dapper Electrical Analysis Programs.
Knowledge of NEC, NESC and IEEE Standards.
