Senior Design Engineer - Control Systems - Power

Control systems engineer responsible for developing cost effective controls engineering and design for power facilities. Manages a team of engineers and designers. Responsibilities include applying the company’s engineering principles to complete engineering designs associated with gas turbine based power, cogeneration and large combined cycle or IGCC facilities. Technical and execution activities will include detailed design engineering of controls and instrument systems, procurement packages, calculations; preparing and performing project estimates, schedules, effort-hours, and material forecasts. Utilize communications skills while interfacing with internal and external clients and supervision of project teams is required for this position. Prepares equipment, bulk quantity, and work hour estimates for proposals. Maintain and update specifications to achieve cost effective design standards and proposal documentation. Provides construction and commissioning support with occasional site visits. This position reports to the Engineering Director.Travel, as required, to ensure successful execution of project and/or department goals.

REQUIREMENTS
Candidates will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Control Systems Engineering/Design and a BS in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is required. Experience is required in both controls and instrumentation aspects of gas turbine based power, cogeneration and large combined cycle or IGCC facilities, including development of Control Strategy documents, DCS/PLC system design and interface, CEMS specification, selection and procurement of plant instrumentation. Ability to plan, organize, and schedule assigned tasks.
Must be proficient in MS word, MS excel, and use of computers. Travel as required.Preferred Qualifications:
