Senior Database Administrator (SQL DBA)

Install, configure, monitor, and tune production, test,and development MS SQL servers. Diagnose and correct Operating System and SQL server problems. Research, recommend, and deploy applications to monitor the SQL server farm. Provide high level support for the Datawarehouse DBA, Senior DBA’s, and application developers. Design and maintain data importexport processes. Develop methods for integrating different products so they work properly together, such as customizing commercial databases to fit LMG specific needs. Develops, documents, and audits setup and security policies and procedures related to the corporate SQL server farm. Update SQL server software with new vendor releases and apply security patches.Participate in Business continuation planning and testing. Provide 24x7 support via paging from server monitoring system and remote VPN access to the SQL Server farm.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Database administration activities such as installation, configuration, DBCC, re-indexing, monitoring, backup and restore, monitoring SQL jobs, troubleshooting, T- SQL, stored procedures, views, DDL.

Minimum Requirements:
1. BA/BS Degree from accredited four year university or college or equivalent professional experience
2. 5+ Years experience of administration, management, and optimization with increasing complexity using MS SQL Server 7/2000, including: Expert experience with T-SQL and DTS. Expert experience with migrating databases between systems. Expert knowledge of SQL security, including integration with a Windows environment (e.g., Active Directory, IIS, etc.). Experience in an Enterprise MS SQL environment with 10+ SQL Server systems.
3. 3+ Years experience with Windows XP2000
4. 3+ Years experience using 3rd party SQL monitoring/tuning tools
5. 2+ Years experience with vb scripting or NT cmd files
6. Working knowledge of Microsoft and TCP/IP networks.
7. Ability to lift servers/monitors in support of machine setup

Preferred Requirements:
1. MCDBA certification
2. Familiarity with Active Directory
3. MCSE/MCSA certification
