Senior Controls Engineer

Systems Integrator seeks Senior Controls Engineers to support the continued growth of our business. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years experience with design and implementation of industrial process control systems. Experience with food and chemical industries preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will have an advanced level of controls engineering knowledge, and the ability to produce the full scope of engineering required within a project. This includes definition and functional requirements, electrical system engineering and design, programming of logic controllers and visualization systems, testing, installation support, and commissioning. Typical assignments include responsibility for one or more of these scope items while functioning as a Project Technical Lead. Some travel and weekend/holiday/after-hours responsibilities will be required to support project assignments and client specific responsibilities. Experience with internal quality systems that incorporate workflow procedures, engineering standards, and design baselines desired. Candidates must be able to achieve results on complex engineering projects within the constraints of cost, schedule, and quality while working within the requirements of our workflow and quality processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be proficient in personal computer use and desktop applications; specifically the Microsoft Office suite of products. Proficiency with AutoCad, Allen-Bradley Logic Controllers and programming software, and one or more of the following visualization packages is required: Wonderware InTouch, RSView SE or Intellution iFix. Proficiency with Modicon logic controllers and programming, Wonderware Factory Suite Products, and DVT/Cognex vision systems are desired but not required. Experience with advanced database/reporting applications as well as Visual Basic, Visual Basic.net, SQL and web development is a plus. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to self-manage and produce results. Must be adaptable, able to problem solve under pressure, and able to learn and apply new technologies with minimal support. Must be willing to travel and work in industrial environments.
