Employees in Intel's Mobility Group design and implement the Intel mobile technology used in notebook computers, phones, ultra-mobile PCs and other portable devices. In this position, you will be part of the post-silicon debug team. You will be developing and driving robust debug strategies for the next generation processors and platforms. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


Working on lead processor products


Debugging silicon steppings using state-of-the-art equipment and working with design team on issue resolution


Engaging with design teams, platform architects, and systems engineering on assessing new technologies, initiatives and products


Working with the Design Engineer to define and implement the (Design for Test (DFT) and DF) features that will enable the product to achieve adequate coverage at test and ensure usability in post-silicon


Scoping feasibility, gaps and risks for efficient and high quality validation and debug


Driving debug tool development needs utilizing DF features and driving improvements into existing debug activities


Enabling validation in pre-silicon of these DFT features to be used for test development, assembly code based test writing, and tool development to allow for the flow of content to get generated accurately for use by the end customers on the tester platforms



job Requirements


You must possess a relevant educational qualification with an in-depth knowledge of component development life cycles and the associated challenges in system and/or silicon level debug programs. Additional qualifications include:


Excellent understanding of DFX (DFT, DFD, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and others) initiatives


Good knowledge of speed debug


Experience with silicon debug of a microprocessor (preferably Intel® architecture)


Hands-on experience in post-silicon debug test equipment (testers, probing equipment and others)


Capability to map and identify future tool needs in preparation for debugging new bus initiatives and architectures


Excellent teamwork and communication skills (both verbal and written)


Excellent understanding of overall PC system architecture would be an added advantage
