Senior Bioprocess Engineer

Senior Chromatography Bioprocess EngineerThe Bioprocess Engineer will provide high level technical support for biopharmaceutical application projects involving chromatography and filtration. The candidate will be a chemical engineer with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of bioprocess unit operations and possess a minimum of 5 years experience in process development and scale up of chromatography and filtration processes. Approximately 20-30% travel will be required.ResponsibilitiesProvide expertise and technical support for process development, application and scale-up of biopharmaceutical processes.Interact with key technical people in biopharmaceutical companies to discuss and pursue application needs as well as operational issues and troubleshooting activities.Possess a demonstrated ability to design experiments and troubleshoot operational issues. Critically examine/analyze data and model process behavior to characterize process performance.Strong hands on skills are essential.Understand scaling issues, constraints and sizing techniques relating to the application.
Able to carry out reviews/audits to examine process sequence, operation protocol, design parameters and recommend appropriate changes.Coordinate project related activities and communicate project status and updates to all relevant parties on critical projectsConduct in-house/on-site training seminars for biopharmaceutical companies.Qualifications:
Advanced ChE degree with 5 years experience in related field. Strong background and practical experience in chromatographic purification of proteins & biomoleculesExperience with process scale up with a clear understanding of scaling requirements and constraints in biopharmaceutical applicationsPossess excellent data analysis and organizational skills. Experience in preparing project proposals, plans, schedules as well as detailed reports.Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and ability to respond to customer needs .
