The senior applications systems analyst provides advanced technical expertise and guidance in the design, programming, testing, documentation and implementation of more complex computer applications and systems. This is considered a leadership position within the application development organization.
Provides Support to the Following Positions:
Business partners - provides software, application development, technical and project management supportApplications developers - provides leadership and mentoring in analysis, design, development, testing, integration and troubleshooting of applications and information systems
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):
Primary technical responsibility for an application involving multiple support personnel that is critical to the operation of the business; or a technical project lead on an application implementation involving multiple application developers and/or contractors over a period greater than six months and costing in excess of $500,000 in labor expense; or holds a proficiency in a unique technical area where loss of this skill would place the company at financial or operational risk. In one of these three capacities, evaluates user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with current systems and computer capabilities. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and clarifies program objectives.Designs, codes, tests, documents, implements and maintains more complex application programs.Performs advanced system analysis and design functions.Performs research and fact-finding to develop or modify application programs; works with vendors to review quality, adaptability and compatibility of their products.Provides customer support for package software and associated interfaces.Provides technical leadership to staff; may direct work of applications programmer analyst and applications system analyst/programmer in the completion of assigned projects. Plans, schedules and assigns work based on established priorities.Provides technical input to assist in development of project planning.Performs any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or related technical field or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor’s degree.)Six years experience in programming or systems analysis.Advanced knowledge of Oracle Financials.
