Design, code, test, and document all future and expanded applications of Decision Engine Technology for the Consumer Lending division of HSBC - North America, including upgrades and conversions. Oversee and coordinate efforts as needed to gather and define the business requirements for these future and expanded uses. Gain a thorough understanding of the Consumer Lending loan origination process and systems in order to apply this knowledge to the development of these requirements. Develop creative solutions while working effectively on a cross-functional team. Interact and coordinate efforts, as directed, with Technology, Marketing, Sales, Corporate Management, Customer Information Management, and the Decision Engine Technology team. Implement these new initiatives through a defined change control process. Analyze proposed solutions to ensure the chosen approach will meet the division’s needs for accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness. As directed, facilitate the implementation of these new initiatives within the loan application system and its larger environment. Provide User Acceptance Testing of completed system changes.

job Requirements



Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing possible if strength in SAS and other computer programming is demonstrable; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred

SAS programming skills required

Experience with StrategyWare and/or Triad or another decision system

Project management skills

Must be a self-starter who is analytical, a creative problem-solver, and skilled at working with others within a team and across teams
