Security Application Support Engineer

Our client is adding an Application Support Engineer position to their team in Boston, MA.

ESSENTIAL DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Lead Support Engineer for applications using RSA tokens and two-factor authentication.
*Lead short and long term projects providing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
*Design and conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual network and application and vulnerability tests using various methods and security verification tools.
*Analyze, collect, maintain and distribute key technology metrics both in real time and historical on the revenue generating products.
*Recommend new technology products (hardware, software, disaster recovery) that can be leveraged as part of the software development lifecycle.
*Participate as an active member of the in the software development lifecycle, through attending new feature requirements reviews and developing leading edge processes to support these new product enhancements.
*Act as the primary business liaison to the business segment, through facilitating communication between Development, QA, Product Management, Technical Operations and Segment business leaders on new product releases, technical outages, and routine maintenances (hosting moves). Effective communication and presentation to key business stakeholders are instrumental.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

*Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent business degree preferred; minimum of 3 years professional technology and IT security-related experience is required.
*3+ years experience with administration of Windows 2000/2003 systems.
*Demonstrated experience with network vulnerability assessment techniques, methods and testing tools. Knowledge of RSA’s hardware tokens or other two-factor authentication technologies is a plus.

*Experience in Software Development Lifecycle
*Extremely effective communication and presentation skills
*Strong management, project management (PMP Certification a plus), and leadership skills
*Ability to collaborate with Product Management, Development, Technical Operations, and Client Services Teams on ever day projects and issues.
*Experience working in the financial industry is a plus.

Education and Experience:
*4 year college degree (technical or business degree preferred)
*3-5 years of professional technical experience
