Science and Engineering Sr.Technician

In this newly created position, the selected individual will be responsible for assisting with microstructural investigations of silicon and silicon carbide materials.

Specific responsibilities include:

.Prepare sample preparation for SEM (e.g. cutting, polishing and metallography)
.Prepare sample preparation for FTIR, and routine FTIR analysis
.Conduct wet chemical etching of wafers and accompanying dislocation density mapping
.Assist with routine analysis of production materials and silicon wafers as needed, and as other techniques are added.
REQUIREMENTS
B.S. in Science or Engineering. An Associates degree will be considered; with 5 years of experience. Must have experience in operating analytical instrumentation, along with strong hands-on and problem solving skills. Must be able to communicate finding to the Engineering staff and management staff. Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
