The Position

Sales Manager

The Opportunity

The position reports to the Sales Manager and is responsible for implementing a plan and process to strengthen the Company’s relationship with key customer accounts. This position could be located out of either Jackson, MI or Angola, IN location.

The responsibilities of this position include:

•Managing a major customer account and lead the execution of the plan and activities to strengthen GP’s relationship with the customer.
•Use technical and analytical ability to problem solve and drive improvements with customer.
•Develop the capability to lead the market development of new products and new customers.
•Initiate and sustain efforts to ensure continuous learning and improvement individually and through the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
The Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
•7 years sales and engineering experience in the product development of powertrain or chassis components in the light duty vehicle industry.
•Has a mechanical/technical aptitude and interest for powertrain and chassis components.
•Proven success in building effective relationships with existing customers or developing working relationships with new customers.
•Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple projects or assignments with significant cross-functional involvement.
