Sales Engineer III

Job Description As a Sales Engineer with Verizon Business, you must possess and display a high level of technical and product knowledge relative to the Verizon Business product and service offerings. You should have specialized knowledge focused in the qualification, design, configuration and pricing within a particular discipline.

You will handle highly technical opportunities to completion without assistance or oversight You will have a significant impact on the customer regularly. You will be responsible for working expertly in the fulfillment activities required to complete both routine and complex applications.

Your daily activities will involve the following:

60% of your activities will be associated with the delivery of Verizon Business response to Sales opportunities as defined above.

15% Post-sales activities associated with installation of services sold with some vendor interface.

15% Equal Partner with Salesperson in developing and maintaining account relationships

10% Personal development & technical expertise improvement

You will serve as the technical resource and advocate for products
and applications within a medium to large client base. You will
work with the Sales team to protect and grow revenue through
need fulfillment and account plan solution selling. You will
work with other Verizon Business personnel in support of
larger projects and complex networks/systems.



Requirements

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

Vendor certification training path identified

2-5 years of Business Telecom Product Engineering

Must have knowledge of the following:

Nortel

Voice CPE

VOIP

LANWAN

Data Networking
