Safety & Restraint Regulatory Systems Cost Engineer/Analyst

We are currently seeking a Safety and Restraint Regulatory Cost Analyst who will develop piece cost and tooling estimate requests for assigned commodities; Actively support the Commodity Business Plan (CBP) process for assigned commodity; Support continued development of Cost Models for the assigned commodity; Support teardown, target agreement and change control process for multiple vehicle programs; Actively support continuous improvement, benchmarking best practices and identification of material cost reduction opportunities for assigned commodity.~cb~
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree with significant manufacturing experience with more than three years of solid experience to apply. The candidate will possess an expertise in various manufacturing processes including stamping, casting, molding and electronics to make inflators, airbags, seat belts, steering wheels, sensors and controls; Demonstrate a broad understanding of the safety and restraint system its technology and application to motor vehicles; Possess the ability to construct and analyze manufacturing costs by reviewing sketches, blueprints, and functional or performance information; Hands-on manufacturing experience should include: Front and side head impact with inflators, Side impact thorax bag, Combination of side impact, rollover, and deployed knee bags with inflators, Energy management devices, seatbelts, pretension, and sensors; Demonstrate a solid grasp of business concepts, realistic judgment, and quantitative and critical thinking skills; Maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems; Able to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks within a defined time period; Write and speak clearly, concisely and persuasively; Model and describe leadership in personal and professional experiences; Work effectively with others.
