Purpose:
Job ID: 46461

Department Description: The Fiber-To-The-Node (FTTN) Sustaining Engineering department provides Tier 4 technical support and sustaining engineering for embedded software, system software, management software, and other software applications for a world class broadband access system which offers triple play services (voice, data, services).

Responsibilities/Expectations: Team lead for software support for FTTN equipment support. This is a sustaining engineering/Tier 4 technical support position. Responsibility includes common control support, VDSL and ADSL linecard support, and narrowband linecard support for a family of products that provides distribution services for FTTN triple play services.^^

Knowledge Skills: BSCS/BSEE, or related degree, 5-7 years practical experience in embedded telecommunications applications
Strong C programming skills required
Assembly programming and device driver programming a plus
Experience with software development lifecycle concepts
Experience with ADSL/VDSL a plus
Experience with POTS applications a plus
