SQA Engineer

AutoCAD also paved the way for our technology leadership in industries such as building, infrastructure, manufacturing, media and entertainment, and wireless data.Summary:This Software Quality Engineer will be responsible for providing software quality support and input for the Autodesk Viewer team. Requires solid understanding of QA methodology and experience in designing and implementing black box and white box tests for shrink-wrapped products. Ensures that all deliverables are represented by a high level of quality, including code and documentation. Creates and/or reviews QA plans, test cases, test matrices, and other QA documents to ensure sufficient test coverage based on requirements and specifications. Effectively participates in, and sometimes leads, cross-functional testing activities. Mentors QA engineers and ensures they have effective support to rapidly grow their capabilities. Effectively influences others to ensure high levels of product quality. Participates in root cause analysis for defects and provides process improvement suggestions to eliminate future occurrences of similar defects. Participates in inspection processes for all types of project deliverables, including the Product Requirements Document (PRD), Conceptual Designs (CDs), Feature Specifications, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Quickly and effectively assesses the true customer impact for customer reported problems. Works closely with cross-functional and vertical product line teams.Qualifications:
B.S. Computer Science or equivalent.
Must have a solid understanding and track record of applying good QA methodology.
Familiarity with QA tools for automation, coverage, error analysis and error reporting.
Demonstrated ability to mentoring, performance review input, project and task management.
Significant experience with shrink-wrapped/enterprise products, preferably targeted toward medium to large business environments.
Solid experience on software projects through the complete software product/development lifecycle.
Knowledge of successful, unsuccessful, and industry standard approaches to creating, enhancing, and testing software component(s).
In-depth understanding or the ability to develop in-depth understanding of needs and work patterns of targeted customers.
Strong domain expertise in DWF (Design Web Format) and AutoCAD-based products.
Experience with CAD 3D/solid modeling concepts and methodologies, in a collaborative production environment.
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to work in a highly collaborative, multi-country/time zone environment.
Self-starter who works well independently and in a team.
