SOLUTION SUPT ENG III

Position Description: Position can be hired in at a level above or level below depending on qualifications.

Position can be located in Overland Park, KS or Itasca/Chicago/Elmhurst, IL

Overall accountability for the solution engineering of CNS opportunities.

This role will serve as the technical architect of converged solution opportunities and will be responsible for coordination of all technical resources in the preparation technical scope, cost and proposal documentation.

Leadership required in presenting to internal groups and customers on wireless or wireline topics to convey subject matter expertise.

Coordination with CNS, Business Solutions Sales and the customer to develop opportunity requirements and other pertinent project information for complex CNS opportunities. Frequent travel to customer locations required.

Accountable for SME/mastery knowledge level of Sprint’s product portfolio of wireless and/or wireline infrastructure solutions as they relate to CNS offerings.

Leverage multi-functional experience, expertise and training to develop relative order of magnitude cost estimates, deliverable documentation for customers and addendums for contract inclusion.

Strong communications skills required to convey technical proposal information to customers. Team with CNS Sales to win deals and meet CNS revenue objectives.

Significant interaction with Sprint sales, engineering (ESS and field E&O) and the customer is required. Upon receipt of final designs and cost quotations from engineering, the CNS SE validates that customer requirements have been addressed and prepares professional grade deliverable documentation.

Minimum 7 yrs Wireless or Wireline industry experience. B.S. Engineering degree or equivalent experience required.

Exceptional track record of sales support required.
Experience designing and implementing wireless or wireline networks required.

iDEN and/or CDMA experience is a significant advantage.
Must be a creative problem solver. Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills required.

Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio required. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, at various levels, and to work within engineering guidelines required.
