Growing manufacturing company seeks full-time Visual Studio Software Developer!The ideal candidate for this position will possess professional skills in Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, and Microsoft SQL programming and data modeling. Applicants with skills in data-driven ASP web applications and .Net development will be favored. Experience with emerging mobile and remote access technologies is a bonus.
We are a growing manufacturing company in Charleston, South Carolina, building our IT team to better support the continuing development of our own accounting and manufacturing software. Strong work ethic, honesty, integrity, and professional capabilities are a must. We’re geeks, and we’re proud of it.Our entire infrastructure is driven by Microsoft technologies. We are a penguin free zone, but we do have a couple of Macs that management doesn’t know about. Our internal accounting, manufacturing and data management software is based on Microsoft SQL Server, with front-end client applications developed in Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, and ASP. Our Visual Studio projects were all developed in VB6, but we are currently in the process of standardizing on Visual Studio 2005, upgrading to SQL Server 2005, and extending our integration with services like Exchange Server and Active Directory. We are looking for a special candidate who can not only fill our software engineering needs, but who can also help us build an interactive IT department and support the unique vision and attitude which has made our company a leader in our industry.
