SMT / Associate Process Engineer

SUMMARY
Provides technical assistance to manufacturing floor and documentation group to facilitate the efficient build of printed circuit board assemblies and upper level assemblies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops process on Fuji Surface Mount Technology Equipment
Reviews industry and manufacturing techniques, and suggests improvements to these techniques in order to increase efficiency of overall manufacturing processes.
Provides technical support to the manufacturing floor on a daily basis.
Initiates & facilitates on going improvements to the manufacturing process.
Resolves customer manufacturing issues and questions.
Responsible for fixtures development & justification, including stencils, component prep, and wave fixtures.
Develops reflow and waveflow profiles.
Works with Documentation Control to develop manufacturing methods.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in engineering, and one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and speak English fluently. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations wherein only a limited degree of standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and information
furnished in written, oral,&/or diagrammatic format.
