SERVICE TECHNICIAN / Electronics Experience

An International manufacturer needs an energetic & self-motivated Service Technician located in Chicago, IL. Position is open due to expansion.

Responsibilities:

Service paper converting machines at customer site
Assist distributor on installation and training of new machines
Perform preventive maintenance on machines.
Submit service, installation, preventative maintenance and expense reports to corporate office
Prepare defective parts for return to corporate through the distributor

Requirements include:

Electronics knowledge Minimum two -year technical degree (DeVry and/or ITT Technical are ideal but not mandatory)
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Ability to use computer applications (e.g. Word and Excel).
Ability to travel as required to end users to perform trouble-shooting or service activities.
Even temperament to deal with customers.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Logical thinking.
Microprocessor knowledge a plus.
Owner of set of standard tools

Candidate must live in the greater Chicago area. The majority of the customer base is in the northwest area of Chicago.
