CDI has an Immediate Need for a SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Role
Currently seeking to recruit a senior electrical engineer to work as part of a new specialist technical group within their rapidly expanding organization. This team will oversee electrical engineering functions and plan future engineering strategies for projects in Ireland, the U.K, the United States and beyond.

Experience
The ideal candidate will be a graduate electrical engineer with at least ten years of relevant experience. Candidates will be expected to be innovative thinkers and have a proven track record of working and succeeding at the highest level in a team-working environment. Experience in steady-state or dynamic system simulation would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities (**Must)
•**Preparation of grid connection applications for wind farms
•**Interfacing with utility companies to secure grid connections
•Preparation of detailed electrical design documentation and drawings
•Liaising with product vendors to ensure plant conforms to relevant codes and standards
•Preparation of electrical plant specifications and scope of work documents
•Performing technical design reviews
•Cost/benefit analyses of proposed upgrades to existing/planned projects
•Investigation of power quality issues
•Working with project engineers to ensure that project-tendering process is carried out efficiently and effectively
•Managing the plant connection process
•Interfacing with and managing external consultants
•Preparation of tender documentation
•Manage regulation and trading issues
•Technical troubleshooting
•Preparing technical submissions/papers for journals/conferences
•Representing company on technical panels
•Negotiation of detailed terms with utility companies
