SAP Basis Engineer

Extensive technical skills, capability to respond to critical situations, Teamwork, Problem Identification & Resolution and skill in working with support teams as well as the business and technical community will be critical for success. Candidates with over six years of experience only will be considered.
Skills/ Experience Required:
Strong NetWeaver 2004 experience / Knowledge of ERP 2004, BW, CRM, Enterprise Portal 6.0 NW04, SRM 4.0, Solution Manager and XI / Basic UNIX (Sun/AIX/HP-UX/Linux/Windows) skills set / Knowledge in High-Available Cluster solutions for SAP / Basic Oracle/DB6 skill set / Knowledge of SAP running on UNIX (preferably Solaris/HP-UX) / Knowledge of SAP running on Oracle (performance tuning ABAP/Oracle a plus) / Support Pack Installation / Performance Monitoring / SAP Heterogeneous copy / On Call Support Capability / Change Management
Technical tools to manage and support SAP including general Basis Administration, Work Bench Organizer, Data Dictionary, Transport Management system, Client Strategy, System Landscape and On-line Support System.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads the daily efforts of a technical team of BASIS administrators

Serve as an integrator to the functional and business teams for technical services provided by the BASIS team, the client infrastructure provider and vendors / other service providers

Collaborate with team to determine strategy and plan for system implementations and upgrades

Develop practices and procedures to manage technologies based on "best practice" standards. Leads effort to develop technical standards to support and operate technologies within the system landscape

Develop a common technical framework to design and implement a consistent and standard architectureLogistics: Local Candidates Preferred.
