This position is accountable for analytical solutions to chronic and/or complex problems within plant or business operations related to Roofing & Asphalt operations.
This person will provide the guidance, analysis, planning and implementation for permanent solutions to issues to insure safe, optimum performance of processes and equipment.Typical Responsibilities include:Leading or participating in projects and project teams in the investigation, problem analysis, alternative evaluation and implementation of permanent solutions to chronic issues that require the use of Six Sigma problem solving techniques.Provide tactical Roofing & Asphalt equipment technical assistance to operations personnel.Document solutions, provide training for correction and/or implementation of solutions, put follow-on procedures and audit routines in place to assure permanency of solutions while functioning as Asphalt technical operations expert within the Division.Provide counseling and coaching to manufacturing engineers, production management and all other manufacturing support personnel.Bring World Class/Best In Class techniques, procedures, processes and know-how into the plant operations: equipment, facilities, production processes as well as interfunctional processes.Initiate, plan and insure closure on any issues found during Asphalt Process Surveys.Will serve as a member of Equipment Standards team and keep standards up to date and accessible.Training and background in Six Sigma tools and methodology will be a plus 5 or more years in Manufacturing, Engineering, Essential Leadership skills Essential Bachelor Degree in an Engineering discipline is required.
