Reservoir Engineer

The company was founded in 1986 and was formerly known as Repsol, S.A. It changed its name to Repsol YPF, S.A. in 2000. Repsol is based in Madrid, Spain.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Reserves estimation and production forecasts for the various assets under evaluation Identifying and solving reservoir problems or issues by applying sound engineering methodologies Generating and analyzing the oil and/or gas field development plan for the various assets under evaluationEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Batchelor of Science, Petroleum Engineering (Master's degree preferred) from an accredited universityPETROLEUM INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 8+ years as reservoir engineer with an operating and production company Demonstrated ability to manage oil and gas reservoir assets including secondary recovery processes All reservoir engineering procedures including, but not limited to, material balance, numerical simulation and well testing Reservoir software: Eclipse, Petroleum Experts package (Mbal and Prosper) and Saphir Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams with limited supervision and to positively influence team decision making Business development experience is preferred with Offshore and EOR experience is a plus English and Spanish language skills
