Remote Computing Engineer

The Remote Computing Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects of the Remote Computing environment, including Citrix Presentation Server 3.0 / 4.0, Metaframe Secure Access Manager, Citrix Secure Gateway, Resource Manager, Installation Manager configurations, and troubleshooting on Windows 2000/2003 platforms with Active Directory. Works in cooperation with Network Engineers and User Support Specialists in the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of incidents, Provides third level technical support to end users. Provides subject-matter-expertise for current and future planning, technical architectures, models and standards (process) for Remote Computing strategies. Recommends new technology and operational changes in support of business needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Other requirements include but are not limited to:

- Minimum 3 years experience supporting major implementations of Citrix Presentation Server 3.0 and 4.0, Web Interface, SecureGateway, Windows 2000 / 2003, Active Directory and MS SQL in large corporations.
- Expertise using Installation Manager and Resource Manager
- Strong understanding of Windows Server technologies
- Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and remote access technologies
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in preparing reports, presentations and documentation
- Ability to work in a team environment required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency
- Exposure to project management methodologies required.
- Required to carry a pager or cell phone and respond to off hour emergencies. Availability to work nights and weekends as required for systems maintenance and support. Limited travel.
- Experience working with IBM Blade technology a plus.
- Experience working with SSL VPN technology a plus.
- CCA and MCSE certifications a plus
- Background in IIS, HTML, XML a plus
