Remediation Engineer

CH2M HILL is seeking a mid-level Remediation Engineer in our Santa Ana, CA office. Qualified candidate will be responsible for and have experience in site characterization, soil and groundwater remediation, and design work. Under general direction and limited-to-moderate supervision, follows prescribed procedures, evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques. Assignments are well-defined but larger in scope compared to an entry-level engineer. Exposure to multiple disciplines may lead to some area specialization. May provide project oversight to technicians and entry level engineers and assist in more complex assignments. Work results impact the immediate work group with little effect beyond. Contacts limited with customers and user departments. May be expected to work on proposals or provide other business development or client relationship support. Supervisor screens assignments and selects techniques and procedures.




job Requirements


BS required, MS degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering discipline desired.

Typical experience ranges from 6 to 8 years in soil and groundwater remedial technologies (soil vapor extraction, bioventing, pump and treat) and project management.

Good verbal and written communication skills are highly desirable.

EIT/FE certification preferred.
