Reliability Test Engineer
· Responsible for the evaluation and qualification of the reliability for desktop products
· Work with development teams, cross-functional teams, multi-national teams, and suppliers to ensure product reliability meets or exceeds corporate goals
· Actively participate in the setting of reliability goals for systems and sub-assemblies
· Drive the organization to become the global industry leader in reliability
· Identify and implement best-in-class reliability practices, drive cooperation with Quality, SEQ, and other groups to improve the customer experience
· Develop, document, communicate, and/or implement test methodologies as needed for evaluating new features and technologies
· Drive supplier reliability requirements, provide oversight to supplier and 3rd party labs and processes
· Define and clarify supplier roles and responsibilities, make supplier recommendations, and actively participate in supplier selection and negotiations
· Review supplier design analysis and reports for compliance to corporate requirements
·Provide support to suppliers in reliability analysis, lead-free transitions, and validation processes
· Analyze field reliability data and initiate failure analysis to understand factors limiting product reliability
· Lead the project throughout the entire development cycle, own and drive issues to completion
· Prepare schedules, statements of work, and functional plans as necessary
· Provide accurate and timely status reports, communicate effectively with core teams, extended teams, and suppliers
REQUIREMENTS
Some travel may be required
· Strong Reliability design or test analysis and work experience with technology products
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting skills
· Detail-oriented with attention to processes and to product quality
· Self-motivated with a strong ownership of work assignments
· Ability to manage and organize multiple projects/activities in a dynamic, fast-paced, high stress environment with aggressive timelines
·Working knowledge of data analysis and probabilities
·Working understanding of reliability allocation, component derating, stress analysis, FMEA, failure rate prediction and MTBF demonstration methodologies, analysis of field failure data, and other reliability analysis tools
· Working understanding of electronic/electro-mechanical devices and the associated material science, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering
· Drive strategies to solve complex problems involving cross-functional disciplines and multi-national teams
· Good oral/written English communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills
· Able to read, write, and analyze technical requirements and functional specifications
· Minimum education is a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent
· ASQ CRE strongly recommended
· Experience with lead-free product transitions is a plus
· Demonstrated Team Leadership skills
