Recovery Process Engineer

SUMMARY
Primary responsibility for process stability and optimization for one Recovery boiler, two black liquor evaporators, and associated process systems. Drives process improvement through operational and process changes. Assists Recovery staff on remaining process systems as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and execution of process system outages.
- Process Safety Management compliance for systems of responsibility.
- Drives corrective actions for safety, environmental, quality, or production deviations from plan.
- Ensures compliance with mill safety requirements, Recovery audit requirements, tank integrity program requirements, and environmental regulations for systems of responsibility.
- Review and control costs for systems of responsibility.
- Weekend duty responsibilities for Fiber and Utility group.

REQUIREMENTS
- BS Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Minimal travel may be required.
