Rational Process Engineer

Acts as process engineer within business and technology groups to equip the organization and/or project team with an efficient and lean development process.

Process engineer role has a number of responsibilities including:

Tailoring the process to meet the specific needs of the organization

Creating the process framework templates and guidelines for the organization

Training and mentoring team members on SDLC best practices such as:
Risk management
Iterative development
Managing requirements
Analysis and design
Quality assurance
Component-based architecture
Change control
Minimum Qualifications


* Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 8-10 years of software development experience performing work in project management, requirements, analysis and design, development and test, with the capacity to train and mentor team members in these skills. 3-5 years experience with the Rational Unified Process and other methodologies. First hand experience with running software development projects of various sizes. Strong communications skills to be able to present the process to a variety of audiences and encourage collaboration between business and technology resources. Strong leadership skills with the ability to confidently articulate the process value proposition. Must have experience managing multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
* Preferred Skills:Experience with:

Object oriented analysis and design

The Rational suite, Mercury suite, and/or other software development tools

Organizational adoption of a full SDLC solution

Modeling business processes
