Full Job Title: Radar / Missile Senior Systems Engineer - 5 Skills Management Title Systems EngineeringJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: A senior radar systems algorithm development engineer is required to support the Terminal Missile Defense Systems Engineering organization. Position will be responsible for concept, development, simulation analysis and documentation of new and innovative algorithms for radar missiles, seekers and sensors. Candidate will work with team to identify, develop and determine applicability, of new radar seeker algorithms for signal/data processing, electronic counter-counter measures (ECCM), clutter suppression, search, acquisition, track, synthetic aperture processing, ground mapping, image formation and ground moving target track. Candidate will evaluate the performance of these new algorithms in context to evolving missile/seeker mission performance requirements and make recommendations for incorporation into Terminal Missile Defense products. The ability/willingness to travel is required. Competencies Experience in the identification and development of new and innovative radar seeker algorithms is desired. Detailed knowledge of radar operations and functions is required. In particular, a detailed understanding of radar signal/data processing, clutter suppression, search, acquisition, track, synthetic aperture processing, ground mapping, image formation, ground moving target track and electronic counter-counter measure techniques is desired. Familiarity with dynamic systems, optimization, and both classical and modern estimation and control theory is also preferred. Successful candidate should be familiar with Design Synthesis process, methods and tools, including radar system level architecture definition, allocation and traceability. The candidate should also have a detailed understanding of Radar system and subsystem products. In addition, the candidate should have some Radar integration support experience. Ability to operate successfully in a team based environment is essential.Notes: The Boeing Company recently announced that their facility located in Anaheim, California, will be closed by 2010 and all jobs will be relocated with the majority moving to the Huntington Beach, California, facility.
