RF Engineer II/Senior Engineer

talented people, we are currently seeking a RF Engineer II/Senior within
our Engineering department.
The responsibilities of this role include:
The Senior/II RF Engineer position is responsible for leading design
projects involving the EchoStar consumer set top box electronics as well as
outdoor satellite television reception equipment. This position will take
concepts from specification to mass production with added responsibility of
guiding techs and junior engineers. This individual will provide timely
status on progress of projects to management. Lastly, the engineer is
expected to interact directly with EchoStar constituents through normal
business communications, trade shows, or other functions as warranted.
Specifically, duties include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for product concept, initial design calculations, as well
as analysis and specifications to mass production high volume design.
Evaluation for cost analysis and optimization of design vs. performance is
expected.
Design/analyze satellite receive set top boxes including satellite and
off-air digital demodulators, UHF remotes, and modulators.
Specify and evaluate OEM and internal designs for outdoor equipment
associated with satellite TV such receive antennas, LNBs, satellite
switches, installation accessories, and off-air antennas.
Use and apply RF principles and design techniques fabricate,
troubleshoot, and test prototypes document designs and write test
procedures/reports.
Issue final approval with supporting documentation to management and
document control groups.
Help support our internal groups such as the design groups,
manufacturing, service and management.
One may be required to travel domestic and internationally in order to
support product development.

job Requirements
Minimum qualifications to be considered are:Education and Experience:BSEE in RF design and Communications. Eight years experience with hands-on
component level design along with knowledge in RF Design from component
level through system level.
Skills:Competencies include strong knowledge in RF principles, knowledge of test
equipment and have the ability to write and documents designs and test
procedures. Must be flexible, innovative and have the ability to prioritize
in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.
