Specific Description

Installation & maintenance of ISDN phones and / or data drop installations in the Pentagon and National Capital Region. - Moves, Adds, & Changes (MACs) & Service Ticket completion within the contract metrics (Phone & Data). - Maintain technically sound journal entries and enter all necessary ticket information as soon as the work is completed. Assure that all Configuration Management Cut Sheets are completed. - Promote a Team Environment? in assisting engineers, hardware technicians, facility managers, or peers in job assignments, surveys, or cross-training. - To provide customer assistance on procedures (i.e. 5E Process) and work with them to successfully obtain service. Interface with customers on service calls or MACs to promote customer satisfaction. Interfacing with various vendors and clients to successfully complete services - Identify and report network data or phone port capacity deficiencies, safety issues, or security violations to your supervisor. - Provides building access control and escort support providing access to controlled facilities as required for IT services restoration as well as new services installation activities. Assures that security requirements and property accountability procedures are being implemented by personnel accessing facilities. - Performs Quality Assurance Inspections during and after work completion. May serve as a Configuration Item Manager (CIM) for network devices.

Experience

Outside Cable Plant - RCDD Certification. - Abide by all government rules and regulations.
General Position Description
Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
REQUIREMENTS

RCDD Certified
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
