R&D Lab Technician-Refrigeration
Purpose: Immediate opening for a progressive Research and Development Lab Technician that has experience with refrigeration units. We are a growing dynamic firm that specializes in making wine cellars and wine refrigerators. We offer a competitive salary that is based on experience and a hansom benefits package.
Job Duties:
1. Prototype and assemble refrigeration units for testing.
2. Work with suppliers to identify components/systems.
3. Interact with manufacturing to implement new designs into production.
4. Test existing product and provide recommendations for improvement.
5. Analyze reliability problems in existing products. Develop, test, implement, and track solutions
6. Work with Purchasing and component suppliers to drive reliability improvement in purchased components.
7. Develop testing environment. Identify test equipment requirements.
Job Requirements:
1. 3+ years of experience in testing, refrigeration, or HVAC. Experience with GE and Viking systems is preferred.
2. Experienced with tools and processes required to evacuate, recover, and charge refrigeration systems.
3. Experience with compressors, evaporators, condensers, motors.
4. Basic electrical troubleshooting.
5. Understanding of materials ? ie, sheet metal, plastics, foam.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication
