R&D LAB TECHNICIAN

The Chicago Faucet Company, a Geberit Company, is seeking an experienced individual to add to its Engineering team at its Corporate offices in Des Plaines, IL.

The Lab Technician will:
. conduct testing in the new Research and Development Lab performing a variety
of lab tests on new product prototypes and existing products
. build test fixtures for product testing
. design test procedures and programs used for product testing
. perform root cause analysis of test equipment and of failed products
. maintain, organize lab equipment, test articles, materials, tools
gauges and other lab articles
. provide lab tests and maintenance schedules
. document and provide written test reports in forms of spreadsheets and databases
. perform other duties as assigned

Idea candidate will have the following qualifications: 2 year electronic/mechanical associate degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 1 year lab environment experience; experience with Lab View (including modifying and writing code) and with MS Office products; working knowledge of basic test equipment and subassemblies; be able to multi-task in a dynamic environment; be a quick learner and prepared to assume new skills and responsibilities; have strong written and verbal skills. May require up to 15% travel.
