R & D Engineering Manager - Membrane

Manage a team of scientists and technicians in the development of Membranes for competitive use and sales.
•Provides technical expertise and input on the strategies developed by the business and by Group R&D•Through innovation and invention, coupled with outside scientific and technology contacts, provides strategic R&D leadership for Company•Identifies and utilizes emerging science and technology of potential relevance to current and future projects/products, maintains competitor technology intelligence•Guides the development of new and improved products and processes to enable Company to maintain a long range competitive edge over its competition•Provides technical supervision and mentors lower level employees as required, works closely with manufacturing and marketing, provides consultation with other scientists and engineers throughout Company, ensures strategic fit of new technologies•Is aware of and follows intellectual property policy and provides complete, legible, and legal documentation of work and supervised work, works closely with patent counsel•Operates within ISO or GMP guidelines as required by function and location•Is aware of and promotes company HR policies, including EEO, AIDS, safety and security, and is exemplary of good work practices•Participates in scientific or engineering meetings, gives oral presentations and authors journal articles, active in technical societies, consults with other Company businesses
REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT Master of Science in Engineering
PREFERRED EDUCATION PhD in Chemical Engineering
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE 15 Years
SPECIFIC INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE Worked in companies that have produced various types of membranes for physical and medical separations. Supervised groups of technicians and or engineers in the development and production of these products.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED WORK/INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE Production and Development of Track Etch Membrane, PVDF membrane, PES, membrane, etc.
