QUALITY AND ENGINEERING MANAGER

HOMESHIELD - Mounds View, a leading manufacturer in the building products industry, is seeking a quality conscious, self-motivated, team player to join our team at our Mounds View, Minnesota location.

The Quality and Engineering Manager works within the Engineering Department of Homeshield Mounds View reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering. Major responsibilities include the management of resources, materials, and manpower to maximize the use of capital investments, the productivity of labor and the proper use of materials.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and motivate the Engineering and Quality staff to provide a high level of supervisory and technical expertise to address opportunities for improvement in manufacturing, material usage, process capabilities, packaging, material flow and engineering documentation, quality, SPC, process control and measurement system analysis. Motivate staff to realize the most effective use of their time and creativity.
- Participate in long-range planning of company's facilities to realize and implement current manufacturing techniques and to be consistent with production goals.
- Direct the implementation of new standards for production employees and review existing standards as required.
- Lead the continuous quality improvement effort in the areas of productivity improvement, material utilization, cost control, and manufacturing methods.
- Utilize the latest available technologies and apply to Homeshield Mounds View production facility and Quality & Engineering Systems area to accomplish the goals of productivity improvement.
- Establish a Engineering data-driven culture focused on Lean Enterprise Activities.

Qualified candidates must have a four-year degree in Engineering, a minimum of three to five years experience Engineering in a manufacturing environment with supervisory experience. Must have an understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are essential.
