Quality Systems Manager

MANUFACTURING Oriented Polymers Division Premier Manufacturer of Concrete Fibers, Agricultural and Commercial Products Quality Systems Mgr Responsibilities of the Position include

Under direction of the Engineering Manager, responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Oversees testing of processes and products.

•Establishes and maintains Quality Assurance systems, process and controls to ensure that performance and product quality meet customer requirements and recognized quality standards (e.g. compliance to GMP’s and other potential standards such as ISO Series).

•Creates and maintains quality control objectives, systems and coordinates objectives and production procedures with other departments and managers to maximize product reliability and physical properties, minimize costs and achieve customer expectations.

•Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, processes and products.

•Plans, promotes, organizes and administers training activities related to quality systems and product quality and reliability.

•Investigates and coordinates resolution of customer complaints regarding quality.

•Ensures that the quality systems are developed and maintained in accordance with existing quality standards and pursues and promotes higher systems standards such as ISO.

•Reports on performance of the quality system to management for review.

•Tracks quality issues to ensure the corrective actions are working as expected.

•Promotes and utilizes methods for continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or quality control disciplines.
•A minimum of five years in the Quality Field of Manufacturing.

Technical Requirements:
•Statistical Process Control
•Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
•Working knowledge: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access
