Honeywell has an immediate opening for a Quality Software & Hardware Validation Specialist for our Phoenix Controls business. This position is responsible for developing and executing test plans to validate / qualify new products and systems which include mechanical and electrical hardware, firmware, software, and network communication elements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for defining, selecting, and performing design validation methods by utilizing appropriate criteria for software and hardware new products. In addition, the candidate will calculate and interpret test data to ensure validation objectives have been met.
Responsibilities:
Serve as QA Rep on cross-functional teams during new product development
Assist Field Service and Application Groups for New Product training and procedures
Serve as QA Tester for Maintenance Releases of existing products
Assist Manufacturing when products fail
Assist Technical Writers for new product procedure docs
Assist Documentation group on ISO related issues
Work with other engineering teams (EE, ME, SW) on customer product-related issues
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field.
Additional Qualifications:
Software Test
Understanding software lifecycle, bug tracking, manual testing, debugging code, testing GUIs, O-O design, test plan writing
Network Communication experience/ FW Test
Troubleshooting networks (analyzers, traffic, Bandwidth, Routers)
HW Test
Analog circuit troubleshooting, oscilloscope, multi meter, reading wiring and schematic diagrams
QA Lead Skills
QA Project Leader for Entire New Product Development,
Using Specs (Functional Spec, Product requirement spec) to write Functional, System, Application, Alpha, Beta Tests
Computer Skills
Troubleshooting SW applications, using Excel to import data, reading log files, event viewers,
Starting services, using Ram and CPU performance viewers
Communication Skills
