Summary Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Verifies materials, parts and assemblies procured from outside the company for inclusion in the finished product, meet required dimensional and visual characteristics.
Collects, sorts, summarizes, files, and maintains inspection and test data on materials, processes, parts, assemblies, and finished products.
Maintains a record keeping system to document the inspection and test process.
Examine production documents to ensure all assembly, inspecting and testing steps were performed according to specifications.
Communicates with the suppliers and internal materials personnel for correcting and or disposing of nonconforming products.
Performs dimensional analysis of components and writes report of examination.
Member of projects teams as component qualification resource.
Inspects in process production and finished product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system and specified standards for shipping and packing.
Acts as backup to other department positions as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

A strong geometric tolerancing and dimensioning background with a good metrology base is required.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; with 1 to years of related experience.
