Quality Engineering Technician

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1.Conduct inspectional audits and full layout inspections for implants and instruments using basic and advanced inspection techniques and equipment.
2.Understand and program inspection equipment to achieve desired inspection applications.
3.Provide Quality Engineering inspection support for new product designs.
4.Ensure inspections are accurate with non-conformances documented and communicated to the Quality Engineering function.
5.Coordinate the calibration lab procedures and equipment and ensure all calibration systems are in compliance.
6.Conduct activities and project priorities according to established work standards to ensure a timely flow of product throughout the inspection process.
7.Assist in the writing of work instructions for the use of basic and advanced inspection techniques and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR FULFILLING TEAM ROLES ARE:

Education
High school diploma or equivalency.

Other
·Attention to detail, technical aptitude and good documentation skills.
·Inspection, calibration and programming experience with basic and advanced QC measurement equipment (such as CMM, automated vision systems, etc).
·Ability to read and interpret Engineering design and specification drawings.
·Must have a working understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) per ASME Y14.5M-1994
·Minimum of 3-5years experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control inspection with high technical aptitude.
·Prior experience in the device industry with close tolerances preferred.
·Ability to work with limited supervision.
