Quality Engineer

GENERAL FUNCTION: Develop, apply and maintain quality standards for UAV product development.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Serve as the primary quality assurance resource for problem identification, resolution and continuous improvement.
•Support engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
•Support production team through quality audits, SOP development and training.
•Review customer orders and change requests to ensure the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
•Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning product problems and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
•Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
•Participate in Team meetings.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
•Position is open to US Citizens only eligible to obtain a DoD Top Secret Level Security Clearance.
•Must be able to lift and move equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
•Overtime/Weekend work may be required.
•Travel may be required.

REQUIREMENTS
DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
•B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
•Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Experience in aerospace company and/or UAV experience desired.
•Strong computer skills required.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•ISO 9001 experience required
