Quality Director

This position is responsible for providing strategic direction to all quality assurance and quality systems compliance activities in support of the company's activities. Assures that quality systems procedures, practices and controls are properly developed, implemented and maintained, and comply with FDA and ISO standards and with Smiths Medical Corporate policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in electronics or mechanical Engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred. Experience including but not limited to: ISO 13485/ISO 9001:2000 FDA/SMMD and EU Medical Device Directive desired. A minimum of seven years of in depth experience in a leadership role, within a quality assurance and quality systems compliance environment (preferably in a device/drug or biomedical area) is required. Experience in the manufacturing of electro-mechanical and single use sterile medical devices is preferred.
