Quality Control Engineer

Located in the Northwest side of Houston, we are currently searching for a Quality Control Engineer who is responsible for assisting the QC Manager in ensuring that all departments strive to achieve the company’s Quality Goals, ISO requirements and is also responsible for assisting with the coordination and implementation of the quality policies adapted by Valvtechnologies.

This position has the following responsibilities:

•At Receiving Inspection, process Disposition of products (DOP) and communicate DOPs to appropriate personnel
•Root cause analysis of quality DOPs
•Record any resultant non-conformances and process their resolution.
•Write and maintain non-conformance procedures
•Administer QC Databases, including but not limited to the following: DOP, ASL, etc
•Make improvements in targeted areas as directed by the Quality Manager
•Create and conduct training classes and ensure documentation of training

REQUIREMENTS
The candidate we are searching for will have:
•BS degree in technical or engineering field or Associates degree with additional working experience
•Experience in manufacturing, production work environment at least two years, preferably in valves or oil field related industry
•Thorough working knowledge of QA, ISO9001, API, ANSI, industry standards and specifications
•Proven track record specifically with problem solving, troubleshooting compliance issues
•Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral
•Ability to work with all levels of employees, management, customers, vendors and distributors
•Must have experience with and comfortable performing problem/conflict resolution
•Hands on ability to implement, direct and train all employees on Valvtechnologies’ QA Program
•Proficient computer skills with MS Word, Excel and Access
